RATE OF PAY: As per Collective Agreement
HOURS OF WORK: As required
EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately (Dependant on Seasonal Weather Conditions)
DURATION: Part Time, Casual, On Call
COMPETITION CLOSING DATE: March 27, 2025
Position:
Duties of the position will include but not limited to the following:
- Maintaining and Repairing water and sewer mains.
- Assisting with maintaining chlorination and Sewer Lift Stations.
- Ditching and land re-instatement.
- Valid Class 8 License
- Operating Single Axle Dump Truck (Class 9 or 9a required).
- Road repair and maintenance as required.
- Installing signage.
- Clearing and disposing of brush.
- TCP Course (flagsperson)
- Other duties as assigned by Foreman and/or Town Manager.
The Person:
- This position is ideal for an individual who is physically fit and previous experience working at water and sewer installation and repair work. In most cases, access to leak repairs would mean safe access to the work site via ladder depending on the depth of the water and/or sewer line. Proven proficiency in operation of loaders and backhoes.
